The GMAT Test Format
The GMAT showcases all of your skills. Therefore, the test consists of 4 sections that assesses the test-takers’ analytical writing, integrated reasoning, quantitative reasoning and verbal reasoning.
Analytical Writing
The Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) measures your ability to think critically and to communicate your ideas. Additionally, during the AWA, analysis of the reasoning behind a given argument and a critique of it is required as well.
Integrated Reasoning
The Integrated Reasoning section measures your ability to evaluate information presented in multiple formats from multiple sources. Hence, these are the skills that are necessary to succeed in our technologically advanced, data-driven world.
Quantitative Reasoning
The Quantitative section measures your ability to analyze data and draw conclusions using reasoning skills. Accordingly, the mathematics required by you in this section are no greater than what is generally taught in secondary school classes.
Verbal Reasoning
The Verbal section measures your ability to read and understand written material. Additionally, this section also evaluate arguments and correcting written material to conform to standard written English.
